Competition Rules

 

  • This competition is run by Portland Enterprises (CI) Limited a company registered in Jersey (registered number 77483) whose registered office is at First Floor, Orviss House, Queen Street, St Helier, Jersey JE2 4WD ("PECI").
  • Only entries received by PECI before midnight GMT on 15 June 2009 will be accepted.
  • Entries will be limited to one per person. Multiple or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.  Only entries properly completed in accordance with these rules and received via email, will be accepted.  Each completed and valid entry received via email will be entered in the draw to win.
  • PECI has two prizes to give away. Each prize consists of two tickets to see Ben Dover’s live stand up show on 18 June 2009 at 7pm (doors open 6pm), Departure Bar, Roman Wall House, 2 Crutched Friars, Aldgate, London EC3N 2HT.
  • All entrants who have supplied a correct answer to the competition question and a valid contact phone number in accordance with these Competition Rules will be entered into a prize draw and two separate winners will be selected at random.
  • By entering the competition the entrant will be deemed to have i) read and understood and to have agreed to these competition rules and to be bound by them, and ii), certified that their personal contact details submitted are accurate.

 

  • The winners will be notified as soon as possible by email or phone.  If a winner of any prize cannot be traced after reasonable efforts have been made by PECI, then the prize may be distributed to an alternative winner without any liability or obligation direct or otherwise to the originally chosen prize winner. 
  • There is no cash alternative for the prize and the prize is not transferable or exchangeable. 
  • No purchase is necessary and no proof of purchase is required for entry into the competition.
  • PECI’s decision is final with regard to all elements of this competition and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • To the extent permitted by law PECI will not be liable for any damage, losses, claims or costs, or disappointment suffered by any person taking part or not being able to take part in the competition. PECI does not seek to exclude or limit liability for death or physical injury resulting from its own negligence or any other liability the exclusion or limitation of which is expressly prohibited by law.
  • Entrants must be 18 or over and be a resident of the UK or the Republic of Ireland. Proof of age may be required before the award of any prize.  Employees of Portland Enterprises (CI) Limited, Portland Media Group UK Limited (or any of its subsidiaries) or Northern & Shell plc, their families, agencies or anyone connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.
  • The prize is subject to availability. PECI is not responsible for the cancellation, change in venue, date or time of the show.  In the event of unforeseen circumstances, PECI or the prize promoter retains the right but not the obligation to offer an alternative prize of equal value.
  • The prize winners are responsible for travel to and from the show and any other costs associated with attending the show.
  • PECI will be entitled to terminate or modify the promotion and modify these rules prior to the closing date by notice on the TelevisionX website.
  • These competition rules shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the English courts shall be the courts of jurisdiction.
